Using minnow lures

When to use
Versatile for covering shallow to mid-depth water. Great for fish that hunt baitfish, such as peacock bass and hampala.

How to work it
Retrieve steadily, or twitch with pauses so the minnow moves like an injured baitfish. Suspending (SP) models hang still during the pause — which often triggers a strike.

Choosing one
Check the F (floating), S (sinking), or SP (suspending) code and the diving depth on the packaging. At Jatiluhur, 5–10 cm in silver, gold, or chartreuse is often effective.
